Nepal

The purpose of the visit to Nepal, was primarily to undertake the walking of the Annapurna circuit. That is walking around the periphery of the Annapurna range of mountains, to which we added a walk up the the Annapurna Base camp. Two weeks of walking in relative solitude for much of the time and attaining a maximum altitude of 17,500 feet on the Thorong La pass.

Walking at 17,500 feet... and I'm tired!

Returning to Kathmandu, we hired a motorcycle and spent a further five weeks exploring much of the country, including a journey up to the Tibetan border on a trail bike.

I will give a proper accounting of the journey in due course, in conjunction with more images.
